My Purchase Experience
I purchased Smart Traffic to give you an authentic, inside look at what you’re actually getting for your $39.89. After going through the entire training, I need to share some concerns that potential buyers should know about before making a purchase decision.
What the Sales Page Promises vs. What You Actually Get
The Sales Page Claims:
The sales page makes some bold promises that initially caught my attention:

- “Earn up to $373.95 per day in profit”
- “Set & Forget System” that works automatically
- “Something FRESH and NEW that You’ve Never Seen Before”
- “Tested with over 100 students (Most of them were newbies)”
- “Done for you products and funnels”
- “Completely passive traffic”
- Features Al Cheeseman, Max Gerstenmeyer, and Fergal Downes
The page emphasizes that this is a proven, tested system worth $741 (their claimed value), discounted to just $9.99 during the launch. I paid $39.89, suggesting the “special launch pricing” claim is misleading.
What You Actually Get:
Here’s where the disconnect becomes apparent. After purchasing and accessing the training, I discovered in the members area:

The Training Structure:
- First Video: Before you even learn any traffic method, you’re pushed to promote the creator’s high-ticket program, called “Super Affiliate Side Hustle” (SASH). This has nothing to do with Smart Traffic. It’s a pitch for their program. – available at https://joinsash.com/free
- Second Video: Shows you how to set up a funnel in systeme.io You learn how to: Copy a funnel inclusive of a lead capture page and follow-up email series to promote SASH. The lead capture page uses the headline “Earn $392.88 per day”.
- Legacy Traffic Method: Instructions on using Canva to create social media posts with your SASH affiliate link. Basically you will: Make Canva posts, Add your affiliate link for SASH, Share on social media. Nothing new. Nothing advanced.
The “New” Secret Traffic Methods:
Despite claims of being “FRESH and NEW,” the training reveals three traffic exchange websites. This is the entire core of the course. And it’s just:
- EasyHits4U (https://www.easyhits4u.com)
- RankBoostUp (https://rankboostup.com) – Offers 1,000 free hits to your website just for signing up
- TraffUp (https://traffup.net)

The Reality: Traffic Exchanges Are NOT New
Let me be direct: there is nothing new about this traffic strategy whatsoever. Traffic exchanges have been around for over 20 years. The concept is simple – you view other people’s websites for 10 seconds each, and in return, other members view your website for 10 seconds each. This is old-school, outdated, 2008-era internet marketing.
The Major Problems:
1. It’s NOT “Set and Forget”
Contrary to the sales page’s claims of passive, automatic traffic, traffic exchanges require active participation. To earn free credits for people to view your site, you must sit at your computer and view other members’ websites. This is the opposite of passive income.
2. Incentivized Traffic Quality
The people “visiting” your site through traffic exchanges aren’t genuinely interested in your offer. They’re clicking through as quickly as possible to earn credits for their own sites. This creates extremely low-quality traffic with virtually no genuine engagement or conversion potential.
3. Misleading Creator Information
Here’s something that bothered me: Fergal Downes doesn’t appear in any of the training videos. He’s only featured on the sales page. The actual course creator and instructor is Al Cheeseman. This feels deceptive – using Fergal Downes’ name and reputation to sell a product he apparently didn’t create.
4. Zero Proof of Results
Despite the sales page showing “student testimonials” and claiming the system was “tested with over 100 students,” the actual training provides:
- No proof of earnings from these traffic sources
- No case studies demonstrating actual sales
- No data verifying the quality or quantity of leads generated
- No screenshots of commissions earned using this method
5. The Real Money-Making Strategy (For Them)
The training’s primary focus is getting you to promote the creator’s high-ticket program, Super Affiliate Side Hustle (SASH). The backend of this funnel includes products priced up to $1,997. However, affiliates only receive 40% commission – meaning the creators keep the majority of profits generated from traffic YOU drive.
Essentially, you’re paying $39.89 to learn how to become an unpaid traffic generator for the course creator’s own products.
What About the “Done For You” Elements?
The sales page promises:
- “Done for you products and funnels”
- “Multiple day autoresponder follow up sequences”
- “Everything you need to be successful”
What you actually get are pre-made funnels and email sequences designed specifically to promote SASH – the creator’s product, not yours. These aren’t versatile tools you can adapt to your own business; they’re recruitment funnels for the creator’s ecosystem.
The Value Proposition Breakdown
The sales page claims a $741 value broken down as:
- SmartTraffic Video Training: $297
- Done For You Follow-up Sequence: $247
- Approved DFY Products: $197
Let me be honest about what this is really worth:
Actual Value Assessment:
- Traffic Exchange Tutorial: Free (this information is readily available online)
- Systeme.io Funnel Setup: Free (basic funnel building tutorials exist everywhere)
- Canva Social Media Post Creation: Free (covered in countless free YouTube videos)
- SASH Promotional Materials: $0 to you (these only benefit the creator)
My Opinion: This training should either be completely free or priced at $3.97 at absolute most. At $39.89, it’s significantly overpriced for recycled, outdated information.
The Missing Elements
What a legitimate traffic training course should include (that Smart Traffic lacks):
- Current, proven traffic methods that actually convert
- Real case studies with verifiable results
- Traffic sources that don’t require hours of manual labor
- Strategies you can apply to ANY business, not just promoting the creator’s products
- Transparent disclosure about traffic quality and expected results
- Training from the person whose name is on the sales page
Who This Might Work For
To be fair, I’ll try to identify who might benefit from this course:
- Absolute beginners who have never heard of traffic exchanges (though free resources exist)
- People specifically interested in promoting the SASH program
- Those with substantial free time to manually surf traffic exchanges
However, even for these individuals, I’d recommend seeking free resources first before spending $39.89.
As I indicated earlier, I have used traffic exchanges before, and they once were a good sources of free traffic, even though they can be very time consuming to generate credits. However over the years, the quality of leads generated from these exchanges are usually not the best.
If you want to try traffic exchanges for yourself, there are two websites I recommend that have listing of the best traffic exchanges chosen by members and statistical data. The two sites are TE Hoopla and Affiliate Funnel. Both have been online in excess of 20 years and have done a great job monitoring traffic exchanges over the years. You can check them out below if you are interested:
Red Flags Summary
- Outdated traffic methods marketed as “new” and “fresh”
- Requires active work despite “set and forget” claims
- Creator disconnect (Fergal Downes vs. Al Cheeseman)
- No proof of earnings or results
- Primary goal is recruiting affiliates for creator’s products
- Low commission rates (40%) on backend offers
- Incentivized traffic that rarely converts
- Misleading pricing ($9.99 claimed vs. $39.89 actual)
My Final Verdict: NOT RECOMMENDED
I bought Smart Traffic to see if there was anything unique, anything actionable, anything worth recommending… But after going through every video and comparing it to the sales page claims, here’s the truth: I cannot recommend this course. The training delivers old, ineffective traffic methods disguised as innovative strategies, with the primary purpose of recruiting affiliates to promote the creator’s expensive backend products.
The Bottom Line:
- Overpriced for the value delivered
- Misleading marketing and creator representation
- Outdated traffic strategies from the early 2000s
- Time-consuming manual work, not passive
- Self-serving – benefits the creator more than the student
My Recommendation:
Save your $39.89. If you’re interested in learning about traffic generation, there are numerous legitimate courses and free resources that teach current, effective methods without the bait-and-switch tactics. Traffic exchanges had their moment two decades ago; in fact I was a regular user of these types of platforms and still have membership in many of them.
However in 2025, they’re not a viable strategy for building a sustainable online business. You will get a sign up here and there but is your time really worth the amount effort you will have to put in for a few freebie seeker leads. The methods inside Smart Traffic won’t move the needle for you.
If you’re serious about driving quality traffic, invest your time and money in learning:
- SEO and content marketing
- Paid advertising (Facebook, Google, TikTok)
- Email marketing and list building
- Social media organic strategies
- Video marketing and YouTube
These methods require learning and investment, but they generate real, interested visitors who actually convert – not forced clicks from people racing to earn credits.
Transparency Note
I purchased Smart Traffic with my own money to provide this honest review. I am not an affiliate for this product, nor do I have any relationship with the creators. My goal is to help you make an informed decision and avoid wasting money on overhyped, outdated training.
